At KO-HOSHIKO Auto Centre, we believe that the best training happens at a real, working garage. Our programmes are delivered inside our active workshop on Waligo Road � so every student learns on real vehicles, with real tools, alongside our experienced team.
Led by David Mubiru, our head trainer and founder, our courses are designed for school leavers, working mechanics looking to level up, and business owners who want a deeper understanding of their fleet.

Automotive Mechanics Certificate
6 Months | Hands-OnOur flagship course for school leavers and newcomers to the industry. Students learn the fundamentals of vehicle systems � from engines and gearboxes to suspension and electrical � through daily hands-on practice in our active workshop.
- Engine, gearbox and drivetrain fundamentals

Electrical & Electronics
3 Months | PracticalModern vehicles are increasingly electronic. This course covers automotive wiring, ECU systems, sensors and onboard electronics � equipping students to diagnose and repair the electrical faults that trip up most mechanics.
- Vehicle wiring harness and circuit tracing
- ECU operation and fault reading
- Sensor types: O2, MAF, TPS, ABS and more
- Multimeter and oscilloscope use
Diesel Engine Servicing
3 Months | PracticalDiesel engines power the majority of commercial and private vehicles in Uganda. This course dives deep into diesel injection systems, turbochargers, intercoolers, and common fault patterns � essential knowledge for any serious mechanic.
- Common rail and mechanical injection systems
- Turbocharger maintenance and replacement
- EGR, DPF and emissions systems
- Diesel-specific fault diagnosis techniques
Advanced Diagnostics
2 Months | AdvancedDesigned for working mechanics who already have a grounding in vehicle repair. This intensive short course covers OBD-II protocol, scanner interpretation, live data analysis, and how to translate fault codes into precise repair actions.

David Mubiru founded KO-HOSHIKO Auto Centre in 2009 with a clear mission: bring world-class vehicle servicing and genuine skills training to Kampala. With over 15 years of hands-on experience working on Japanese, European and American vehicle makes, David has trained more than 200 mechanics who now work across Uganda's transport and logistics sectors.
His teaching philosophy is simple: every student must be able to do the job independently before they leave. No shortcuts, no theory-only sessions � every lesson ends with a practical demonstration on a real vehicle.
